My tribute piece to author Maurice Sendak, who passed away at 83 the other day. Where The Wild Things Are was an awesome book that captured the adventurous and mischievous side in those who read it growing up and this is what I tried to work into this illustration.

Playing with Type and Illustration to accompany this quote I found from Picasso awhile ago. I think it’s important to still dedicate time to experimenting and playing, otherwise my talents becomes stale and motionless. Tip to all creatives: Play with every medium you can get your hands on - from paper to wood.
